This week our two large mosaics were collected, they will now have reached the Mathari National Teaching and Referral Hospital where they will be grouted and mounted before the official handover ceremony on March 17th, St. Patrick’s Day.
The children did the drawings first and then decided which drawings would be part of the mosaic and how they would be arranged. Then started the gruelling work of breaking tiles into tiny pieces and gluing them to the board to form the picture.
We are so proud of what the artists and children have achieved. The children will be delighted to see their mosaics mounted on the hospital wall on the 17th March.
